The list of things to be happy about was started by Barbara when she was 10 years old. It was a small top-opening spiral notebook that she carried in sixth grade and started with entries like blueberry muffins, green peas, the sun shining. That simple list is still growing and is the basis of this site. Barbara's many other lists can be found here and the underlying theme is paying attention and appreciating the little things.
Barbara holds an MPhil and PhD in Linguistics (University of Exeter), a PhD in Archaeology (Greenwich University), an MA and PhD in Buddhist Studies (Akamai University), and a BS in Physical Education (Valparaiso University). She is a Registered Professional Archaeologist.
